Travel Guide: Maui For A Weekend

Where to stay: Stay in a place where you can wake up in a bed with an open window to the ocean. For four days, I stayed in a house with a kitchen where filled the rooms up with the smell of coffee and the sea. The wood tones and floral sofa reminded me of the way my mother used to decorate our home in Texas growing up. I made breakfast and ate it sitting on the patio, reading Big Little Lies

Eat outside, even if it's warm. A vacation to me isn't meant to be perfect, but to be like lightning in a bottle; an experience that rustles your senses and gives you something new to feel and see. 

Where to eat in Lahaina: 

South Maui Fish Company - oysters and calamari to die for)

Fleetwood's on Front Street- the most aesthetically inviting place I've seen in years, and you can watch the ocean from your table
